We invite journalists to cover Eurohaptics 2016. Photography and filming will be allowed onsite.

Eurohaptics 2016 with more than 300 participants is the biggest haptics event of 2016 and it is expected to be the most attended Eurohaptics series conference. The main conference will take place on July 5-7, 2016 in the South Kensington Campus of Imperial College London, UK.

What is haptics? Haptics is a field of knowledge covering all aspects of human sense of touch and its engineering applications in mobile communication, computer interfaces, virtual reality, assistive devices, robotics, medical technology and training, education, arts and many other domains. The conference will feature keynote talks by world-renowned researchers, a haptics exhibit hall including hands-on demonstrations and company stands, oral and posters sessions, industry talks. A press package will be provided on this website closer to the conference date.

History and geography of Eurohaptics conferences. The Eurohaptics conference was incepted in 2001, Birmingham, UK and was held in Edinburgh, UK; Dublin, Ireland; and Munich, Germany before joining the IEEE Haptics Symposium every other year to form the WorldHaptics Conference (Pisa, Italy; Tsukuba, Japan; Salt Lake City, USA; Istanbul, Turkey). In the alternate years, Eurohaptics was held in Paris, France; Madrid, Spain; Amsterdam, The Netherlands; Tampere, Finland, and Versailles, France.
